Trevalyn Estates Ltd. was formed in 1975 with a view to
building a company that specialises in developing, retaining and managing small
multi-let Industrial Estates.
The first was what is now known as the
Puleston Industrial
Estate in Wrexham. Originally a corn mill and later an engineering works, the
engineering company had gone into liquidation in 1973 and the property had been
empty for two years when it was bought by Trevalyn Estates Ltd..
A programme of demolishing surplus buildings and sub-dividing
and renovating the remainder followed, although the greatest change was when the
original four storey mill building was destroyed by fire in 1985. The building was not
replaced, the area on which it stood being used for additional car parking
space.
The second development was the
Gardden Industrial
Estate,
situated in Ruabon some three miles from Wrexham. This was created from the
remains of what had been the Ruabon Brick & Terra Cotta Works. Extensive
demolition had taken place prior to the acquisition and the subsequent redevelopment of the
eight acre site took place over a number of years.
Additional sites have been added over the years and there are
now seventeen in all, comprising of one hundred and forty Units with a total floor area
of some 330,000 square feet. The main areas of operation are North Wales and the
North West, although the company also has units in the North East, Derbyshire and Scotland.
The company continues to move forward is
always looking for new opportunities.
